Taylor's 'Chocolate' Mousse
This a light, tasty, mousse that is quick and easy to make. Give it a tweak and it can double as a dipping sauce or to dribble over sliced fruit as a light dessert. Desserts can be fun but use them judiciously for a once-in-a-while treat.
Ingredients
- 1 medium-sized ripe avocado
- ¼ cup carob powder
- ¼ cup sweetener (real maple syrup or honey)
- ¼ cup non-dairy milk (coconut, almond)
- 1 tsp real vanilla extract
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until very smooth.
NOTE: If you want this as a dipping sauce or to dribble over sliced fruit, add 1 Tbsp of non-dairy milk to blender at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Pour into a bowl, cover and refrigerate until chilled. Alternatively, pour into individual ramekins until three-quarters full. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
Serving
Serve in individual ramekins as a light, special dessert.
Use as a dipping sauce for fruit or dribble over sliced fruit for dessert.
