The Hawaiian Islands are an archipelago of eight major volcanic islands, several atolls, and numerous smaller islets in the North Pacific Ocean. On one of the author’s speaking appointments in the island of Maui, the Hawaiian-famous
“Auntie-Aloha,” asked Dr. Taylor if she would write a book about the Spinner Dolphins—amazing sea creatures that are indigenous to the State of Hawaii. This book is in response to her request. It has been a learning experience for the
author and a joy to research and write the stories.
More than a dozen sea creatures regularly interact with The Littlest Dolphin, as she learns how to be a “Spinner Dolphin.” Dolphin Trivia (at the end of the book) lists resources for some of the research that has gone into studying these amazing Dolphins, said to be one of the most intelligent creatures on Planet Earth.
