Energy is the ability to do work. Measuring energy has become a very precise science, but interpreting what energy actually is presents challenges. The heart pumps biochemical nutrients to every cell in the body, and also circulates patterns of energy containing information that tells every object in the body how to do its job. (Pearsall, Paul, PhD. The Heart’s Code. p 40. NY: Broadway Books, 1998.)

Energy is all that exists. It cannot be destroyed—just transformed from one form to another. It is found in everything (e.g., nature, animals, humans, music, thoughts, prayer/meditation) and can be acquired. (Gordon, Jon, M.A. Become an Energy Addict. p 1-6. GA: Longstreet Press, 2003.)
