From the first fetal movement to mid-life, the male hormonal charge kicks males into higher activity levels than females. Young boys need action. To put them in crowded environments which demand long periods of passive silence violates everything that makes up a boy. In the early elementary years, it is common for teachers to reuest that parents get medication for their hyperactive sons, when in most cases their activity needs are well within the normal range.
