Living my life with integrity and values hasnot been a problem because I do have my standards clear. However, living who I am innately, with authenticity, has been a challenge! You ask, "Who are you?" I respond, "I’m a ‘double right’ who has been squashed in a left-brained organization for many years—semi-surviving!"
Since attending Arlene’s special brain-function program (The Brain Program), I have made conscious, concerted efforts to rearrange and restructure some of the tasks in my job so they coincide more suitably with my brain-function preference. I have given myself permission to feel free to delegate certain tasks that are a strain to my brain, such as sitting in financial meetings. I have also taken more ownership in other areas of responsibility that keep my work enjoyable. Informed choices are so much better than mere survival techniques.
An ancient manuscript states: the truth shall set you free. Upon completion of Dr. Taylor’s Seminar, with a truly enhanced understanding of myself, I do feel free indeed! So free, in fact, that I declined two job opportunities for "moving up the scale." Some were astonished when I declined to accept either of these positions. Not me! I was liberated, unfettered, and released! To possess the information that, in the new positions, my brain-lead preference would be utilized even less than in my present job, was a wonderful and empowering recognition.
My decision to remain where I am currently working has been a symbolic acceptance of living my life with authenticity. To "be" and "do" who I am is important and very satisfying. I feel more and more each day that I am thriving rather than merely surviving.
Now here comes the ad! If you haven’t attended The Brain & Innate Giftedness, might I suggest that you do? I’ve attended twice and have benefited greatly. I think you would also.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all gain the understanding of our true strengths and weaknesses, and then maximize our innate giftedness to produce the greatest results as we work, play, and live together as human beings?
I encourage you to "be" and "do;" search and find who you are truly intended to be and then live authentically. All the best to you on your journey!
Note: Marilyn has hosted The Brain Program in Aldergrove, British Columbia several times.
